Monday’s MLB card is loaded with star power, and a few of baseball’s biggest bats find themselves in favorable matchups.
Before locking in your MLB player props, here are the hitters my MLB picks are targeting to leave their mark tonight.

Yordan Alvarez Over 1.5 total bases (-129)
For those sick of me writing up Yordan Alvarez what feels like every Monday, tell him to stop landing in mouthwatering spots. Today, the big fella is in a clear boom spot as he takes on Minnesota Twins right-hander Zebby Matthews. Against Matthews, Alvarez has nearly 100% arsenal coverage against his below-average pitch mix.
The Twins’ right-hander has struggled mightily against left-handed hitters, allowing nearly a 70% elevation rate, a 40% hard-hit rate, and an 11.5% barrel rate over the last 60 lefties he has faced. Those hitters during that stretch own a .663 xSLG and a .476 xwOBA.
If you’re not looking to pay juice today, take Alvarez to record a double or a home run. However, this feels like an overcompensated line because of how delectable the matchup is, so get the best value you can.

Shea Langeliers Over 1.5 total bases (-126)
He failed to come through for us yesterday, but today feels like the better spot, as Shea Langeliers draws left-hander Eric Lauer this evening in Sacramento. The Athletics catcher owns one of the highest arsenal coverage marks among elite-rated hitters on Batters-Box, covering 80% of Lauer’s pitch mix.
The power-hitting backstop has also been torching southpaws, posting a .423 BSA, .808 SLG, and 1.308 OPS over his last 30 at-bats against lefties, while producing a 55% hard-hit rate and 10% barrel rate.
Lauer has also been allowing right-handed hitters to elevate the baseball at an alarming rate. Over the last 60 right-handed hitters he’s faced, opponents have posted a nearly 72% air ball rate with a 14% barrel rate. During that stretch, they also own a .508 xSLG and .352 xwOBA.
As I always say, if you are not in the mood to pay the juice today, sprinkle his double and home run props separately for better value.

Pete Alonso Over 1.5 total bases (+100)
The Polar Bear has been on an absolute tear lately, and getting this prop at plus money feels like a steal. Pete Alonso draws Chicago White Sox right-hander Sean Burke, a pitcher he owns 85.6% arsenal coverage against, per Batters-Box.
Over his last 60 right-handed hitters faced, Burke has allowed a staggering 76.3% elevation rate, while those hitters own a .517 xSLG and .506 wOBA.
Alonso has been scorching right-handed pitching as well. Over his last 30 plate appearances, he is slashing .333/.792/1.259 with a .523 wOBA and a 20% barrel rate.
I would do everything you can to grab this at plus-money odds. Shop around, find a boost, use a boost. This is an excellent number to lock in before it disappears.
