Losing streaks are put to the test on Saturday as the 3-13 Phoenix Mercury host the 4-12 Seattle Storm.

Seattle has played competitive basketball as of late, and my Storm vs. Mercury predictions call for Natisha Hiedeman and Dominique Malonga to guide their team to its first victory in nearly a month.

Read on in my WNBA picks to see how I’m building a +625 SGP with scoring props for Hiedeman and Malonga and a +230 ML wager.

Storm vs Mercury prediction

Storm vs Mercury best bet: Natisha Hiedeman Over 13.5 points (-140)

I’ll happily go back to the well for Natisha Hiedeman as long as her scoring prop remains this low. She’s gone for 14+ in six straight while averaging 17.8. She’s reached that mark in 10 of 16 games on the season and leads her team in field goal attempts and 3-point attempts.

The Phoenix Mercury sport the 11th-ranked defensive rating, and across their last three games, they’ve surrendered the third-most points to opponents at 94.

At 13.5 points, the WNBA odds on Hiedeman’s scoring line should be priced closer to -160. Getting this one at -140 is a great value.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Mercury have allowed the fourth-most points (54.1), third-highest 3P% (37.3), and most 3-pointers (6.1) to opposing guards this season. Hiedeman has averaged 3.7 triples on 45.8% shooting across her last six games, setting her up to stay hot from beyond the arc.

Storm vs Mercury same-game parlay

While Natisha Hiedeman leads the Storm in FGA, Dominique Malonga leads in scoring at 15.8 ppg. Her 29.9 usage rate is fourth in the W. She finished with a career-best 28 points in her last game, and this prop is playable to 16.5 as Malonga shines in a favorable matchup.

Seattle’s league-worst offensive rating improved 10.1 points across the last four games, and Phoenix’s net rating crashed 7.6 points over that span. I expect an improving Storm team to get over the hump, so I’ll take the +230 moneyline wager and leave the points behind.
