As the Formula 1 season kicks into high gear at the Miami Grand Prix to begin May, the world’s most popular racing series is bringing in FanDuel as an official sports betting partner in the U.S. and Canada.
Key Takeaways
- Formula 1’s deal with FanDuel is the series’ first of its kind in the United States.
- The partnership will integrate betting content, data, and editorial features across F1 platforms.
- The deal comes as F1 heads to North America in May, with the Miami and Canadian GP on the horizon.
The partnership, announced Thursday, marks the first of its kind for Formula 1 in the U.S. As part of the deal, FanDuel will see expanded integration across F1, both in Betting Guide capacities as well as editorial content across Formula 1’s platforms.
“We’re delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada – markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula,” Jonny Haworth, director of commercial partnerships at Formula 1, said via a release.
“As sports betting becomes an increasing component with how fans, especially in the U.S., interact with sport, it’s vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market.”
In March, F1 struck a landmark multi-year deal with Betway in Canada, Mexico, and several other countries across the globe.

That U.S. engagement component looms particularly large given F1’s recent exclusivity rights deal with Apple, moving the sport away from traditional broadcast mediums despite record viewership numbers during the 2025 season on ESPN.
FanDuel, in addition, continues to expand its portfolio with prominent leagues, already an official partner of MLB, the NBA, and the WNBA.
“Being named an Official Betting Operator of Formula 1 marks an exciting step forward as we enhance our sportsbook product to deliver more interactive experiences for fans,” said Fanduel Sportsbook managing director Karol Corcoran.
“Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans. This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend.”
Formula 1 and FanDuel’s partnership lines up with the shift over to North America, with the next race taking place in Miami where Oscar Piastri and McLaren will look to repeat amid a slow start to the season. F1 will then head north of the 49th parallel to Gilles Villeneuve Circuit for the Canadian GP.
“I think last year, and even 2024, we had a really big advantage around a place like this, and this year we don’t have that, so we’ll have to wait and see,” said Piastri, per Reuters. “I think it’s going to be a weekend full of changes and trying to get on top of things better than everybody else. And if we can do that, then there’s still going to be opportunities to finish higher than maybe where you should.”
Early odds echo that sentiment, given Piastri’s +2,000 F1 Drivers’ Championship odds at bet365. George Russell and Kimi Antonelli, meanwhile, lead the pack at +100 and +110, respectively.
