ChatBet launches to deliver WhatsApp conversation betting in LatAm

ChatBet has launched version three of its platform, positioning itself as the conversational interface layer for betting. Enabling operators to offer a fully AI-driven, WhatsApp-based betting experience that sits alongside their existing stack.

The B2B provider integrates directly on top of operators’ backend infrastructure , adding messaging as a new acquisition, conversion and retention channel without requiring changes to backend systems or additional regulatory approvals. Backed by Meta as part of its WhatsApp Business ecosystem, ChatBet is helping operators meet users where they already are, in messaging.

Version three is now live with multiple operators across Latin America, introducing a more autonomous “AI bookie” experience that acts closer to a VIP concierge, turning natural language into fully structured, compliant betslips in real time

Josh Swerdlow, founder of ChatBet, told SBC News: “We’re already live with operators in Latin America, where WhatsApp is the dominant user channel, and seeing strong signals around engagement, conversion and repeat usage. The shift is less about “chatbots” and more about a new interaction model, with conversational interfaces replacing traditional navigation.”

Markets such as Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Colombia are estimated to have at least 75% WhatsApp market penetration, showcasing that users across Latin America are familiar with and comfortable using the Meta-owned platform. ChatBet research also demonstrates that bettors prefer messaging apps compared to other forms of mobile apps.

ChatBet allows users to place bets on WhatsApp by simply texting, or sending a voice note, the bet they would like to place. The company’s AI system then processes the request and generates the bet, regardless of colloquialisms or slang.

As an example, a bettor could ask to place a bet on “Los Blancos (commonly called Galácticos in LATAM) to win by two goals”. Chat Bet would recognise the bettor is looking to place a bet on Real Madrid.

ChatBet generates the betslip on top of the operator’s existing sportsbook infrastructure, translating natural language requests into fully structured bets by mapping teams, markets, odds, and even applicable bonuses in real time.

The system validates the bet against the operator’s live environment before presenting a ready-to-confirm betslip to the user, removing friction between intent and execution.

In the first few weeks of launching the latest version of the model, ChatBet has yielded strong results.

The solution has delivered a 2x of clients’ conversion rate, while uplifting average revenue per user by 22%.

Swerdlow added: “Users are already expressing betting intent conversationally. This shift is turning that intent into a structured, compliant bet in real time. That’s what ChatBet enables. What Google did for search, conversational interfaces are starting to do for transactions. In betting, that means removing friction between intent and execution.

“Operators don’t need to rebuild their stack to benefit from AI. They just need a smarter interface layer that sits on top of what they already have.”

ChatBet is continuing to scale with regulated operators across Latin America, leveraging its position within the Meta ecosystem to connect advertising, conversation and conversion into a single measurable flow.

As adoption grows, Swerdlow believes conversational interfaces will become a core distribution channel for operators, enabling them to turn messaging activity into trackable revenue and long-term player value.
