The Kansas City Royals begin their first road trip of the season when they visit Progressive Field for an American League Central showdown against the Cleveland Guardians.

Michael Wacha has looked better thus far than Tanner Bibee has, and my Royals vs. Guardians predictions are backing Kansas City.

Read on for my MLB picks for Monday, April 6.

Who will win Royals vs Guardians today: Royals (+110)

Kansas City Royals starter Michael Wacha tossed six scoreless innings in Atlanta and now draws a favorable matchup against a struggling Cleveland Guardians lineup.

Cleveland is scoring just three runs per game over its last five, and Wacha has handled this group well historically, holding them to a .632 OPS across 92 at-bats.

Tanner Bibee served up three bombs in his second outing and now faces an offense averaging nearly six runs per game over its last five.

I’ll back the hotter bats tonight.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Cleveland currently ranks 26th in MLB with 19 RBI across 90 plate appearances with runners in scoring position.

Royals vs Guardians Over/Under pick: Under 7.5 (-117)

Everything points to a low-scoring game in Cleveland tonight.

First-pitch temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-30s at Progressive Field, while Wacha leans on a sinker-heavy arsenal that produces a 50% ground-ball rate.

Bibee has struggled, but Cleveland’s lineup ranks in the bottom third with a 27.8% strikeout rate and a .617 OPS against right-handers.

Cold weather and two ground-ball pitchers, plus Cleveland’s Top 10 bullpen, screams low-scoring.
