Iran strikes Qatari tanker; acknowledges direct contact with US

Iran on Wednesday struck a Qatari tanker with a missile attack, while acknowledging it has had direct contact with U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera that he’s received messages from Witkoff in regards to peace talks but noted “the trust level is at zero.”…
